Ok I have about had it. I have been looking for a few months now on any tutorials that would help me animate TECH looking images in flash. Whether it be moving them around in a pixel based image or haveing them flash which I presume is masking. If anyone has any idea on how to do this or knows of any place where I could get a tutorial on how to do TECH type of stuff in flash please link me.

Your question is a hair ambiguous (I'm really not sure what "tech animation" is), but I've found many of the tutorials on www.flashkit.com to be very useful. Try searching through their categories/database. Everything is laid out pretty nicely.

Use a fast frame rate for one (like 100). Using alpha and/or brightness. Now picture 1 frame 100% alpha the next frame 10% alpha. Repeat - you get that blinking effect. Using brightness you can achieve the same with an image, or you can make a mask.

Now I haven't used flash much this last year and I tend to loathe working in it, but seeing these effects this is what I picture is happening.

I am not sure why you are having problems finding tutorials as this is a pretty common effect.

Well im not exactly sure what the effects are labeled as so I am not sure as to what I'm looking for.

I checked tht page: the effectsa are nothign but simple motin tweens.

Just check the tutorials in Flashkit about MOTION TWEENS, or read the help section or the Lessons includedin Flash package.

Also, you needn't use exactly Flash MX 2004. Formthese are simpl effects, and you can use whatever version of Flash you wish incuding the Future Splash Animaor :-D
