Did someone already order Rackshack Compaq DL320 server? Any feedback how good it is and how well it's performing?

We have one of the Compaq DL-320's, but the server does not have a lot of sites on it yet, so I can't really comment on the server performance yet. Although the Ensim control panel works quite well, and the installation of PHP (with additional configs) and Tomcat did not make any impression on the server at all (unlike the RaQ's, which is slower by far).

But try these sites for an idea of the performance in any event:

I just got one last week. I only have 5 sites on it so far, will have the remaining 30 by next week so I can give you a fair review. I did install realserver plus with no problems, runs smooth. Planning on installing Macromedia Generator on it, hope that does'nt kill its performance.

Greetings:

We rented a Compaq server at Rackshack.net several weeks ago.

While rackshack.net offers no uptime guarantee (to our knowledge), our Enterpise Network Monitoring System has it ranked at 99.9% up time life to date.

The Linux kernel installed was relatively old, but it was easy to update to 2.4.18.

Working with their in-house support team has been good using their browser-based control panel. They responded timely.

Additional IP addresses were allocated within 24 hours.

In ending, they've provided what we are paying to have them provide; no complaints.

Thank you.
