is media temple in the top of the list when you guys say: "you pay for what you get"? i mean, their really expensive, is their service really worth all that money? what do u think?

I think that Full Moon Graphics (http://www.fullmoongraphics.com) is hosted with mediatemple. She's pretty happy with them, I think.

I think the problem with poor support and service usually starts when people sign up for $5 hosting plans with lots of features, or $10 hosting plans with 10GB+ of bandwidth and a ton of disk space.

But really, if your bandwidth requirements are reasonable and you're not looking for 10GB+ of bandwidth, I think you should actually be able to find good quality hosting for around $10.

But back to Media Temple, I haven't heard anything bad about them, and they seem to be a good hosting company. Your sites would certainly be safe there. :)

http://www.floodgear.com hosts with them but they constantly run over their bandwidth and receive nasty warnings from media temple.

Erm, if I'm not wrong, all the popular design portals use mediatemple.

Such as:

But Mediatemple sponsors them, hosts them for free, and in return they get a lot of business from designers.
