I'd say fair value for a unique click through on a highly specific keyword for a hosting type site would be $0.20/click. Anything more than that IMO makes it hard to deliver a positive ROI on your ad $$$. But that depends how long you're willing to project forward the income received from those acquired customers etc.

Overture can work well if you work with your competitors and agree to keep the bidding down to certian levels etc. It's tricky but it can work.

nah,

its pretty cheap. people pay $2 - $4 per for quality click.
