So. I initially created a hosting plan for my friend out of town. I had no gateway so we decided to pay through check.... I credited a years worth of hosting... now we want to use that paypal merchant account. I created an account blah blah thats fine. So i debited the amount to remove the credit i gave for the check. Now im at $0 credit.

He initially signed up as a one month recurring period.. it didnt really matter what it said since he was paying by check then. however I switch his period to 1 year but it wont let me... "exceeds credit amount"

Basically what i want to do is start over the whole billing process without recreating his account.

He needs to login to his control panel, click billing ,click billing profile. then if you have paypal set up he should be able to select it from the drop down box next to edit billing profile.

yea i did that myself by logging into his account... the price for the year would be $120... it says that amount exceeds the credit available when i switch to yearly from monthly..


plus it takes the difference... i think it assumes that the user alrdy paid for the first month so it only wants 11 months worth...

I just want it so it was if he just first signed up... and paying for the first time using paypal.

anyone got any ideas?

First of all - change user to paypal in billing prefferences.
After that - you should be able to do the rest (switch to anual plan, etc).
