i got a reseller account with voxtreme about a month ago and so far have been very satisfied. but the past week, the server went down 3 times for several hours, last night its been up and down and now as i am typing this it is down again since 3 hours. i have sent tickets, emails but there is no reply. the worst is i am having very important business emails coming in today and they are all lost for sure :( does anyone have a phone # on where to contact them? and i have just read they only offer refunds after 12+ hours straight downtime and 1-2 hours daily isn't enough :(:(

i am lost :( anyone know a company that isn't run by a bunch of kids? :o

It is a bummer indeed.

I have been eyeing Datahost.net for awhile. Will probably try them out next. May have a bit more control over there servers since they have their own data center (so they say). Get what you pay for I guess so I guess I can't expect perfection but would like reliable email!

Someone posted www.***********.net as an option I am also looking at. If cpanel and whm are your thing then looks to be good. Hard to say where I am going but will probably be going.

Email down.
Sites down.

Ug.:crying: :puke:

Hmm:confused:

Is "<<Removed: Censored for a reason, yes>>" is a bad word here? Guess I will have to do a search.

No, as of yesterday for 30 days. I don't think any other explanation is proper to discuss publicly (no interest in smearingpeople on the board).

If it helps you feel any better, I think that if the outage didn't last more than 3 hours, these emails shouldn't be lost. The sender's sendmail should keep them for a while, trying to resend them for four hours (depends on their setting).

Just an explanation.. I'm on the same server there and don't like this either. The problem - they think - is bad RAM but Pegasus (@ NAC) is taking DAYS to replace it! Once the RAM is replaced they expect to be up and running fine again. That's what I'm waiting for, but if you have a more important site than me I would understand if you can't wait..

I just think it's outrageous that Pegasus doesn't replace the RAM faster.

I'm already too tired to comment on it, but it doesn't make sense that a bad ram is that hard to get replace.

And btw, i've work company that has its own noc for its clients, and the tech mgr told me that for all of 5 yrs they never have cases of bad ram - even on old machine, mobo yes but ram is very uncommon to break down. Maybe pwebtech is using some low quality ones or its just those one in a million defect case.

nuf said, all will end soon - for me at least.

I have a different experience here.

I never got a bad mobo, but I got a lot of bad RAM sticks, and I don't use cheap RAM. (I'm not talking about servers, just for my personal PC).

Yes, we are waiting for the new RAM from Pegasus. They informed us it would be done on Wednesday. It still hasn't.

Server down again for over an hour. No explanation, no reply to tickets. What is up with you guys?? I just want to get off the server but in cant even get to my files like this! I don't care if you need to replace RAM or not, but you have promised 24/7 support and now you're saying that you're working on supplying it? We have paid for this, guys! You lied to your customer and sold features that you cannot give. The only explanation about yesterday's big downtime we got was:

Apache died on Whale again sometime during the night, caused by the faulty hardware again.

I was offline most of yesterday, my mum is in hospital.

Its not ram.. its something else non hw related.

Now's the time to bail it seems... if they've been claiming its hardware, and then the guy who works in the data center says its not, then its time to go...

We believe we have fixed the problem. With a user fork bombing the system
