Hi
I am very impressed with Ultraspeed and I just want to know that whether the speed of the reseller's website will be the same. Can any of the reseller from UltraspeedUSA leave me the URL please? Thank you

Hi,

I am a reseller through UltraSpeed and I must say that they have some of the best servers I have ever been on. I have a rather poor cable connection at home and some poor T1's in the office and I always get great transfer's. My website loads up great. Click my link in my sig, that site is hosted on UltraSpeed :)

I have not started to resell yet but I am 100% sure UltraSpeed will be able to give that same speed to every account hosted with them.

And if you are worried about support, don't be. UltraSpeed has the best support I have ever received from ANY host hands down. If you have any other questions about them let me know, I'll be happy to help.

Regards,

Mike

I can pretty much say the same as Mike S. did. I have been very satidfied with them during the setup and the first days as a reseller and the speed is very good.

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate your help.
As I look and double check the IPs on the URLs, what I see is that as reseller you can not even stay anomynous like what all the hosting companies said will be. All I want is just to be anomynous. Can anyone help me with that please? As well as Ultraspeed staff please help me out. If I can not be real anomynous, what can I do to hide that I am not a reseller. Can I buy my own IPs and send them to Ultraspeed to set it up? If any of you know which hosting companies that allow reselling that can not double check the IPs, please let me know. As far as I know there is one company. But I prefer Ultraspeed and I am looking forward to become one of Ultraspeed reseller.

The trouble is, it's nearly impossible to hide the fact you're a reseller, and a determined search (by someone like myself who knows something about DNS and IP blocks) will 99% of the time turn up the correct answer. (or at the very, very least reveal which server Network Operations Center your host is based at, which is generally the case with UltraSpeed/VDI)

My question is, why don't you want it to be known that you're a reseller? (just curious, as I'm sure you have a legitimate reason)

With regards to IPs, no, you can't buy IPs and then ask UltraSpeed to set it up, as ARIN/APNIC/RIPE/whoever you're buying the IPs from will only sell IPs to companies, enterprises and other multi-person 'units', not necessarily to individuals. You would have to ask UltraSpeed to buy the IPs for you and set it up so that little detail is revealed as possible. (unless Daniel/Jordan can correct me and reveal the correct procedure with such a request..)

Hope this helps you out....

BC is right.

I get asked this question everyday we can do everything possible to hide your a reseller but if somebody was to really dig they would find out that your ips come back to ultraspeed but that don't say your a reseller, it just says the ip blocks belongs to ultraspeed, you may get the same thing if you check a person with a dedicated server at ultraspeed or vdi or catalog and so on.

I would rather have my customers know that I resell through Ultraspeed rather than trying to hide the fact. It seems that if you do try to hide it somebody sometime will find out and perhaps start posting at different places trying to give you a bad rep. Some people just don't like the fact that you are a reseller, and if that's the case it's probably best to not have them as a customer from the start rather than letting them find out on their own. I think it's safe to say that if you are open and honest with your customers you will earn both their respect and possibly a sale. Again, just my opinion :)

I do agree with Mike but what you said is based on USA markets. Here in Thailand, it does not seem like that. They will not see any posts about bad reputations. What causes bad reputation is that whenever any of my customer discover that I am a reseller. People goes for images and reputations here. For me I do not mind at all and I am glad and happy with the service that is based on VDI NOC. The reason why I do not jump straight to Dedicate on VDI is because I am not sure about the sales and I rather make profit than to get loss. So that I want to resell first at the start and move on. Anyway do not take it seriously guys, I just asked.

Hi Paul, let me tell you first when people here double check the IPs they mostly go to http://www.checkdomain.com and the results are :
DNS.USNUK.NET 216.171.66.34
DNS2.USNUK.NET 64.152.7.93

and if check the 216.171.66.34 that goes to
DNS.USNUK.NET 216.74.73.191
DNS2.USNUK.NET 216.74.72.2

and if check the 216.171.73.191 and 216.74.72.2 that goes to

[No name] (DNS1122-HST) DNS.USNUK.NET 216.74.73.191
Ultraspeed UK Limited (NETBLK-VDI-ULTRASPEED-0) VDI-ULTRASPEED-0
216.74.72.0 - 216.74.74.255
VDI (NETBLK-VDI-1-BL) VDI-1-BL 216.74.64.0 - 216.74.127.255

and

[No name] (DNS1123-HST) DNS2.USNUK.NET 216.74.72.2
Ultraspeed UK Limited (NETBLK-VDI-ULTRASPEED-0) VDI-ULTRASPEED-0
216.74.72.0 - 216.74.74.255
VDI (NETBLK-VDI-1-BL) VDI-1-BL 216.74.64.0 - 216.74.127.255

What I want is just the results like these not DNS.USNUK.NET, can I? Like what you said is the same as Dedicate with you but they are not.

If not, can you please get the IPs for me from the Level3 just like the results of DNS2.USNUK.NET 64.152.7.93?

Hope that you will help me out. Thanks everybody.

As my collegue said, if someone really really wants to find out who is behind you, and they have the expertise to do so, we can't stop them..

However....we have a few domains that we could use for reseller DNS servers that would not be connected with us, we could then put these on servers not connected with our network to try and get some more anonymity going.

(puts on TODO list)

In addition, we will also be SWIP'ing resellers and other customers IP blocks as standard very soon, this will help add to the impression of the reseller being more independent.

Jordan is right.

I remember when the first time I ordered a hosting package about three years ago..I didn't care where they put their server or are they a reseller or not.
When I was ordered their package, I didn't see that in fact we are as a customers have a lot of choice.
All I saw that they have a good support and they have a reasonable hosting packages.
That's we call a newbie :D

And remember that there are millions newbie in this world.

Thx.
