I have been trying to manage a vbulletin based community forum for over 3 years.

If you check my previous posts on this board I ve worked with all kinds of admins and companies.

We can find only partial solutions so far. Upto this time.

So i said to myself I should find a solution for these attacks and we did.

Well you can go ahead and manually ban IPS and or proxies but my experience not a solution.

This script will prevent attacks against such as but not limited to:

1- Software based flooding attacks. making so many request from a server so that webserver can not handle legitimate requests.
2- Syn Flood attacks.
3- Attacks behind proxies.

etc

I am not a server admin. This is just an addon script for all necessary security was done and all patches are up2date ( Which still is not enough to overcome these attacks anyway)

Works on only Linux systems so far.

Brute Force ,Ping Sweep, PortScan, DIG, D.O.S Attack, Exploit attacks, SYN FLOOD
ICMP Flood, UDP Flood, Ping Of Death, Smurf, CGI based Script attacks, SMTP attacks

You can easy define your server from this attacks if you plug the hardware firewal,l which have content-based filter http, beetween server and port.
Cost this firewall less than 1k$.

tried cisco pix 506 with managed solutions at one of the DCS

1000 dolars firewall pm me a site that this firewall protects please

and a guy like me paying 400 dolars monthly to a server , dont know if I can afford a firewall for 1000

besides do this firewall guareente me a bulletproof server? Is my Datanceter gonna alow me to put a custom hardware firewall in front of my server?

I am here offering a try test it script:) DOnt pay anything as a downpayment:) and besides you got nothing to loose.

Just do colo with your existing provider and have it on private switch. End of story :)
