Tomcatf14 10-27-2005, 03:01 PM Hello, Any help? Apsylum 10-27-2005, 11:13 PM What do you mean by a site builder? Something like dreamweaver? jcrespi 10-28-2005, 02:23 AM If your use cpanel in your hosting account you are probably in luck if your hoster has fantastico installed, if so you already have some scripts to start your yourney dollar 10-28-2005, 02:25 AM The reason you aren't getting a bunch of replies is the simple fact that there really aren't any free sitebuilders, at least none that I have heard of for that matter. If there happens to be a few free sitebuilders, odds are that they are not very good. A sitebuilder is a difficult piece of software to put together, especially one that is going to be running on a webserver for a person to use. It's quite hard for most people to put that much time and effort into a product and not make a profit on it. What are you going to be using this for? Tomcatf14 10-28-2005, 02:35 AM I will include it as a feature on my hosting plan. I need ONLINE site builder instead of the offline. Is there any recommendations for FREE site builder?Yes, i know that good things come with a price but i need to evaluate on the FREE first. For paid site builder, which one would you guys recommend in terms of value for money? dollar 10-31-2005, 12:51 AM Nothings for free!!! Lots of things are free, entire operating systems, webserver software, powerful database systems, instant messaging, chat clients, etc... This is just one of those products without any free scripts out yet. Remember to think before hitting that reply button, or at the least make your posts meaningful ;) bizarredesigns 11-02-2005, 06:57 PM Hey, guys, what do you mean there are no free sitebuliders? I'm a beginner to the business, but I do have Google :) and one of the first links it gave me was the Yahoo FREE site builder. I'm not sure how good it is (I know that all the site builders, even the expensive ones, are limited), but it sure does exist at webhosting.yahoo.com/ps/sb/index.php?redirect_uri=tt Or does it only say "free download" and there are strings attached that make you pay in the end? dollar 11-02-2005, 06:58 PM I believe the op is looking for a sitebuilder to offer his/her clients ;) That sitebuilder is for building sites on Yahoo. Tomcatf14 11-03-2005, 02:40 AM I believe the op is looking for a sitebuilder to offer his/her clients ;) That sitebuilder is for building sites on Yahoo. Yup, i'm looking at something to provide to my clients. Online site builder which run from my server. Any recommendations? rois 11-03-2005, 03:05 AM Tomcat, let us know when you have found one :) But if you want to try a paid sitebuilder, why don't you look for a host that does offer sitebuilder and signup for a month. And if you are a reseller, ie not running your own box then you can signup for reseller account with host that offers site builders to every resold account. Tomcatf14 11-03-2005, 09:00 AM I am running my own box Tomcatf14 11-04-2005, 09:59 AM Any good paid sitebuilder out there to recommend? BlueBoxHost 11-06-2005, 08:38 AM SiteBuilder 2.0 from SWSoft. If you purchase the full product it is very high for a startup company. However they do have monthly lease licensing. Starts out at $20 for 100 sites. We are currently using it for our shared hosting plans. It has about 200 high quality templates and they seem to be releasing more. One word of caution. It does not install well on anything besides plesk. We tried it on a cpanel server and it totally killed httpd. Regards Dustin Benner Tomcatf14 11-07-2005, 03:40 AM How is the load from on the server when using the sitebuilder? We are using in-house CP and i think it should be able to intergrate. bluskyguy 11-07-2005, 03:47 AM Speaking of sitebuilders, anyone know of a good sitebuilder for Helm (Windows 2003)? Been looking around for something basic and haven't turned up anything. Tomcatf14 11-07-2005, 03:50 AM Taken from swsoft's site: NOTE: SWsoft will also discontinue the following Operating Systems on December 31st, 2005: Red Hat 9.0 and Fedora Core 1. As of this date, SWsoft will no longer be able to support, patch, troubleshoot, or answer support issues related to these Operating Systems. We will send a reminder notification as this date approaches. Please prepare now for a smooth transition. My server is running on RH9.0....:s Contacted cm4all but not yet receive the reply since last week!!!! Tomcatf14 11-07-2005, 05:58 AM Any comment for SiteBuilder from SWsoft and Trelix Web Express? dollar 11-07-2005, 06:01 AM SiteBuilder from SW-Soft is pretty nice, and the price is right IMHO. Looking to roll it out in the not to far away future, so I have not had a chance to battle test it yet. Just be prepared to have a bit of a weird sitebuilder on your hands when it comes to integrating it with an control panel and builling solution (and be prepared for a weird installation process as well). mcnope 11-10-2005, 04:06 PM Hi, http://info.soholaunch.com/ have got an easy builder. Mcnope dollar 11-10-2005, 04:08 PM SohoLaunch is a great product (gave it quite a bit of thought before going with Sw-Soft, it was more or less a toss up) but alas, neither is free. bluskyguy 11-12-2005, 03:49 PM slick, i'll give the soholaunch.com product a shot. TomorrowHosting 11-12-2005, 11:59 PM NVU is a good HTML Editor. SiteStudio is also included in some hosting packages ... |
