I am in the middle of designing a site.

I would like someone to incoporate the following:

A login members area
A user panel where they can view member info etc

There would be more but I think you get the jist on what I am after.

How much would it cost for someone to do that, nothing else but what I have stated.

Sorry it is vague but, I'm not to litterate when it comes to complicated html, php, asp etc.

Please post your questions if you don't understand ;)

Cheers, :)

What will be put on your user panel? Only user info?

Good question NetworksData, email checking, personal messages from host (me), interactive pages direct server info updated through coding/software, not updated by webmaster himeself you know direct link to server e.g. an automated graph of server status. :)

And anything else that I may think of later. :)

I would have to say you could expect to pay quite a bit, if you aren't up to doing the work yourself...especially if you want it to look pretty...

I've never paid for web design or programming,.. but i would guess a couple grand just to do what you want on your user panel :)

just the mail interface alone... you may want to consider using something like SquirrelMail for that?

Thanks for the info AudiBoy.

I will be doing the whole site and design, all I would want is someone to program and set up these pages.

I would integrate into my design.

Is this what you meant, if not what price would you think.

Remember anyone post there comments and ideas, I need as much information as I can get hold of.

Blackman,

For a project like that our firm would charge starting at around $5,000, depending on complexity.

Umm, I hope you're joking, because that is ridiculous! Something like that really wouldn't take any longer than a weekend of work. I'm not saying I want to do it, but I know people who'd probably do something like that for only a fraction of what you want. Like, $500-$1,000 - NOT $5,000.

You're insane O_o

Lucky for me though, I could probably do the following: get it for free, or get it for about $100-$200! - You've just got to know the right people ;)

I think it would take a weekend just to get together and plan out what exactly was wanted and how to do it.

That is true, my choices are, somewhat specific :)
