I have seen a few negative comments here about Hostcharge and just wanted to express my opinion, with out getting flamed.

We have been with Hostcharge from the beginning and like the service they provide.

The only problem that they had was for a couple of days the merchant terminal was down, but this didn’t really cause much of a problem. All billing companies have their faults somewhere, 2checkout is sometimes down, and this can be more annoying than with Hostcharge, as with Hostcharge you can still collect the customers details and cc numbers and charge when they are back up. With 2checkout or similar companies you rely on their system being up just so you can take orders.

When I have a query and email them, they always respond with in the hour but 9 times out of 10 it's about 5 - 15 minutes response time. Which personally I don't think you can get much better.

I have read a few negative things in this forum about them and can't understand why clients put them down when they have hardly given them a go or can’t get it working so instead of emailing them to sort the problem out they post nasty comments on public forums. All companies have teething problems, but Hostcharge seem to deal with this very efficiently. I think that the only problem they have had was the terminal being down, but this was not their fault.

For anyone here having a go, just give them a chance before flaming them, as it only takes one unhappy customer that puts them down and everyone else just adds to that to make things worse.

I live in the UK and needed money a little early this month, so I emailed Hostcharge about this, and 3 days later I had the money in my Bank Account. Now if this isn’t good service I don’t know what is.

In my opinion, I have found the better company for taking payments, I would rather pay slightly more and get a good service full of upcoming features than to pay a small amount and get crap service. And anyway there’s not much difference in the charges, and for small companies a couple of cents extra isn’t going to break the bank.

At least with Hostcharge you feel that you are being dealt with by someone who cares.
