maybe you can start offering Sponsored servers, or some kind of Free Tournament to promote your site.

I don't know too much about the GameServers either.

Local gaming communities and forums are normally a good place to start. Find a large gaming forum and contact the admins. Tell them you would like to setup a tournament and would be willing to sponsor it. Let them take care of the advertising as it will be an incentive for their forum members. You just need to provide the hardware, setup your joining MOTD for the inital game loading and probably want to write a press release they can post on their community forum.

there're a lot of Game forums, with a lot of users.

There you go, is an excellent place to start, more if you promote free servers.

I know I can Submit in Search Engines, But I have no clue on how to get top Listing. You can start with the basics of SEO (and I recommend to stick to the basics) from the articles at http://www.highrankings.com . Jill, the owner, also maintains a valuable forum http://www.highrankings.com/forum/

Every GSP advertises on mIRC silly. It's where you get most of your customers from.

In mIRC type /list in the status menu to get a listing of all the channels publicly available for you to join. Im sure you can fine a few.

You might also not want to limit yourself just to Quake Net (unless this is the only game you want to host, quake that is)

As others have already said, I would focus on places where you know those in the market for game servers will see your ads. Look for forums, communities, etc. Participate in tournaments yourself, both as a player and a sponsor. There are many creative ways to raise awareness of your company.

Good luck! :)

I don't mean to be a hamper on your quest for information here, but you are looking for people who are potentially your competitors to pretty much hold your hand and tell you EXACTLY where to advertise, how to do it, etc.

You're better off hooking up with someone that is already experienced in marketing, and looking at a possible partnership or something of the sort.

My view on marketing and advertisement? Either you have it or you don't....you can lead a horse to the water but you can't make it drink.

I know your website is still in flux - but since I also run a gaming community [ thehavennet.org.uk ] I know how important it is to know where the servers will be based - I assume you are US based but that information is not shown on your site. Ping is king in game server hosting so you'll need to be upfront about where your servers are located.

Other than that pick the games you will host and start hitting the big forums for those specific games - they usually have threads/sub forums on hosting/hosted servers where you can promote yourself.
