I have a couple of Raqs with Tera-Byte, one's ftp is working fine the other I am having a difficult time in maintaining ftp connections.

When I try to ftp it often gives me messges like "Iligal port" at connect time, or connection terminated in the middle of an ftp transfer.

Has anyone expirence this before? Any ideas what can I do about it?

I have restarted the server without any luck!

I believe the RaQ uses ProFTPD. If so, find your ProFTPD conf directory and make sure that you are not limiting your ports. After you verify this, make sure that you are not connecting to your FTP using PASV mode. If no of the two works, call your host. It's most likely they are blocking the port jumps used with common FTP clients.

Ya..... the funny thing is if I upload a very large file it works fine but if I upload many small ones the connection breaks!!
