Hello,

I am not a expert here for doamin transfer or hosting. I own several personal use domain. I just swith my domain from futerquest to infodoma. ( I love the support and quality for futerquest but they become a liitle bit too expensive when I become full time mon. )

Anyway, I use dotster service to transfer my doamin. Next day, the whois showing it's already being transfer but when I open browser it still opint to old futerquest server. After 48 hrs my domain is still not up and when I open it. It show server is unavailable then re-direct to a wired ADULT site!!?

Now is about the fourth day no adult site appear but the page is still showing no server.

Do you know how can I find that kind of service that when you type in your domain you can get how they resolved DNS? I need to find out is dotster already done their job or not since their whois is not relibale at all.

Thank you

Are you sure it's transferred already? Log in to your dotster account and go to registrar transfer status. It will say "done" if it's done or tell you why it wasn't.

After it's transferred you still need to switch your nameservers to the correct ones for your new host. Once this is done it will take another day or a little more then you will be set.

Yes, dotster already show new name server
NS1.INFODOMA.COM
NS2.INFODOMA.COM
in my account as well as I doing whois search. But it ALEADY showing being done after 24hrs. At that time when I log into my domain the page still showing the page in OLD name server. ( Believe me I refresh several time)

This is the wired part.....

The infodoma part they double check for me already and sure their part already done....

Now what to do..

You may see that info on the whois data but it still may not have taken effect. Your nameserver that your computer uses stores the data and usually won't have the correct data right away. Wait a day and it should work for you :) Also close all your IE browsers and try again because IE can also mess things up too..

Checking the whois database is not the proper way to see if the root servers have been updated. The proper way to see if the root servers have been updated is by querying the root servers.

Each registrar's whois database is in no way synchronized with the root servers.
