Hello all,

I have two servers. One is currently hosting two websites, one being mydomain.com and the other being mysubdomain.mydomain.com. I'm moving the site on mysubdomain.mydomain.com to another server in a different datacenter. Could someone please help me in figuring out how to do this so that when the user enters mysubdomain.mydomain.com, it'll go the new server (without showing the IP address of the new server)?

mydomain.com server is running linux/cpanel and the new server is running windows 2003 standard.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

from your DNS manager just point mysubdomain.example.com to your new IP address which is windows in this scenario and it should work just fine.

just a technical note don't use mydomain in examples because its real domain and example.com is meant for such demos :)

Thanks for your reply Bashar! But, in my cPanel I don't see a DNS section whatsoever. Do I need something else installed?

cPanel Build 10.6.0-RELEASE 158
Theme cPanel X v2.5.0

your hosting provider should do it for you (or your DNS manager)
