I have a web design client who is hosted at a local ISP on a Cobalt Raq2.
I installed the YABB bulletin board system (www.yabb.org) on her site a month or so ago and it ran fine except that the Password Reminder script failed and the email notification wasn't working. Recently a new version of YABB came out and I tried to install it, but ran into even more errors.
I needed access to the Error Log and wrote tech support about getting telnet access to read the error log.
They just wrote back:
"You got telnet access now. go in and see if you can find what your looking for."
Fine. That's what I wanted. I haven't tried logging in yet (I'm away from my home office at present), but I've already been to the support site at Cobalt.com and can't find any reference to the location of the error log.
Would it be in the same place I'd find it on an Apache server? The way this Raq2 is configured, I'd think not. Doesn't sound like the tech support guy at the local ISP knows either, so I thought I'd turn to you.
Any advice about telnet-ing into a Raq? Can you tell me the location of the error log?
Thanks in advance,
Sean
