yeah I found it searching for webreseller's username. It's been sent to who knows where for who knows what. Could have been canned due to the little flame war that broke out towards the end of the thread. But it was an incredibly successful post for webreseller. Is this what's going to happen from now on with the new owners of WHT, or is this standard operating proceedure?

Looks like HS is a little worried about his competion... I always though competetion is healthy. I was enjoying following this thread also. Amazing how it goes from being in the front and although I am new haveing a hell of a lot of page views then poof, gone, all the way in the back. HS is going to detroy Web Hosting Talk or should we say rackshacktalk.

Please know the facts before jumping to conclusions. The posts in the web hosting offers forum is arranged by the date the thread was started. We did not intentionally move it deeper in the pits due to competition or anything else you want to think of.

Thanks for that teck. I heard that was coming in but didn't realise it was implemented then. Makes the Offer's forum almost dead. Defeats the purpose of a dynamic marketplace. Oh well, it's Rackshack's forum now and they will do what they like. Their logic here was flawed, IMHO. :)

and keep in mind that once the change to sort by date took place, every schmo with a server went and reposted their specials....

Yeah, I mean that place used to be dynamic and full of action. The most popular offers got the most attention, which is the natural order of things. The offers with no interest were pushed down the list. Now that section of the forum looks dead. :rolleyes:

yeah, i think it's a pretty bad move. but yeah, if i'm looking for a deal, i'll certainly go through a few pages regardless, just to see what's out there.

Geez- Im glad I didnt shoot myself in the foot.

I was planning on leasing some servers from the head dude when I saw the great prices. My plan was to advertise in the requests portion and sell of the space.

Now due to the great wisdom of the HS the posts are limited and I will not get the servers. Im sure Im not the only one. Good biz IMHO is a win win situation - not lose - lose.

Not only did head dude lose but so did I. Who know maybe something will change.

Just my 2 cents.
