View Full Version : Bannersmall.com I would NOT suggest using them
IMeanWebHosting 10-17-2005, 10:19 AM I ordered on 9/28/2005 a banner from bannersmall.com because I had heard how great and fast they were. Three days later, I still had no banner, so I contacted live support. The live support guy told me "we're experiencing high volumes, we may not get the banner to you for a couple more days". I told him that was ok, and logged off. It's now 10/17/2005 three weeks after my order and I still have no banner. I'm beginning to think I probably won't ever get one from them. Luckily for me, I just cut my losses and bought some banners elsewhere.

Although this may be the case (even though I didn't get it), 1-1 1/2 weeks ago still would have been over a week from my original order. :(

Senthu@BM 10-17-2005, 11:33 AM Hi
I just resent it, did you get it this time? I agree its been more than a week when we sent your banner the first time, Our old price structure was killing us, We were swampped with orders and to be honest we reached a point where we couldnt even catchup with the orders even if we stopped taking orders for 2 weeks. The new prices will improve our turnaround in the future for sure.
Please accept my apologise for the delay.
Thanks
kris1351 10-17-2005, 01:12 PM Senthu always delivers what he says he will. You should check your mailserver to make sure you weren't blocking information from them.

Yes, I got it now. Thanks for clearing everything up. It shows a lot of integrity when people admit fault and give reasons why the situation happened. So I really appreciate that. Thanks again. :)
matthewshull 10-18-2005, 02:50 PM For some reason I had problems getting emails from them as well. I would email them asking where my banner was and they tell me they sent it days ago and resend it.
Wonder what's up there? Senthu, it may be something you want to check just in case it is something with your email server or process.

Always? I ordered banner ads from Senthu 11 days ago, when they weren't delivered in 10 days, after several promises by Senthu, I filed a complaint with PayPal asking for a refund. Senthu still hasn't refunded. So not only doesn't Senthu deliver the product, he doesn't deliver the refund.
Senthu@BM 12-18-2005, 11:00 AM You bought ads in httptalk and I emailed you that we are having problem with ad software and we will put your ad up in few days, then when you complaint in paypal I email I will have the ads up this weekend and I didn’t get any response from you, so I thought you will wait for it.
I just sent the refund.
Thanks
page-zone 12-18-2005, 12:25 PM It'd be nice if we all could do that. Take orders knowing they can't be filled and make the customer waste his valuable time tracking it and sending emails until 2 weeks later they have to publicly shame you to get a refund. I spen hundreds of dollars a week in ads, luckily 99% just take the money and deliver the product without me having to waste valuable time chasing them down.
Jim, Who did you end up going with and were you happy with the results?
page-zone 12-18-2005, 02:17 PM I have a lot of ads running through google adwords site targeted to webmaster forums but I doubt it is even paying for itself, and a ton of text link ads and its hard to tell what those are doing since they are designed to just increase backlinks. I do get alot of visitors from one of them though --> http://jalbum.net/
something like 150 in December so far. And some banner ads on a few webhostingtalk like sites but I don't think those are even breaking even. The person who takes the orders and sets up the accounts in my company say's none of them are doing jack. The orders that are coming in she says are from current customers and people that they recommend. Or from people that left and are comming back. Thats pretty much how it has always been. I too would like to find somewhere to advertise with a good return on investment.
Im sorry, I was referring to the banners themselves. Who did you end up going with to have them designed and were you happy with those designs?
I think he only wanted to buy advertising space, not banners.
page-zone 12-18-2005, 07:15 PM The plast lace I got banners was
http://www.internetbasedmoms.com/graphic-design-services.html
and did it mainly because I liked the style but I usually design a banner myself in a few minutes just because I don't have time for the whole back and forth process. But the lady at the link above did some pretty good banners.
