hey all im trying to make a firefox extension and im a bit stuck.

Ive managed to fiddle with an old extesiosn to get a button and search bar onto a new toolbar.

the bit im not sure about is how to get a text link on the toolbar that can be updated by the javascript but how do i put on a bit of text?
any ideas how to do this?
