All...
I think of opening a Web Site Focusing on creating web sites for Hosting Resellers ... Could this work? I believe that Having a nice image for the hosting company will attrack more customers and it is an Important Factor ... BUt on the other hand, I think that most resellers do their web sites themselves and always try to reduce the cost ...
Can you tell me your opinions regarding this issue ? Also What could be a suitable price for a a nice, professional web design that is NOT template based and that is also affordable ?
Waiting your opinion....
Thanks in advance

I would personally say that most resellers are in fact reselling due to the fact they they cannot afford there own dedicated servers. Thus I dont think they will have the money to do so.. I know when I was reselling it was tough and I did not have the money for someone to design a site for me so I ended up doing my own. Now if say you purchase a few dedicated servers and sell reseller accounts long with a website like a turnkey operation then I think there might be a market there. I think there are alot of people who want to start selling shared hosting but do not know where to start and do not know how to or do not have the money to pay for site design. Maybe charge X amount for the reseller account and then a monthly fee until they pay off the design or just a small reoccuring fee.

Nice Point OKIhost .,.. Thanks...
I think my Market could be already existing hosting companies that started to be profitable but have still a Poor look. I mean Redesigning and enhancing the look ... I think that a company that started 6 months ago and that has 100 custmers (Say) will be willing to invest 500$ or something to look more professional ... What do you think ?
Thanks in advance

True but if you are talking about resellers then any reseller with 100 customers would probably be very close to if not allready having a dedicated server themselves. I think your best bet would be what I suggested a nice turnkey solution for people wanting to become resellers and then move up to dedicated servers. Maybe a startup fee and then a monthly for the reseller account plus the design work. Once they want a dedicated solution themselves offer to sell the design..

Well, I think your price obviously depends on your skill level and what tools you are using. If you're using FrontPage I think it'd be worth about $5, a good notepad writer could probably crank out a site for about $100, and someone who really knows how to use Dreamweaver would be $300+ depending on number of pages, etc.
Also, what can you offer besides HTML? Can you write a script that can run a whois lookup on the domain registration page? How about order forms; can you use Perl or something to make the process as seamless as possible? Can you do a snappy logo using Illustrator, or do you depend on clipart?
So, in short, your pricing depends -- a lot -- on what, exactly, you're offering.

I think finding a niche in the market can be helpful. You don't need to provide web design for only web hosting businesses, but you could specialize in that, and target your marketing towards that.
We originally got a good share of web hosting customers by concentrating our effort on real estate agents, and convincing them to get on the web to help advertise their properties. We offered real estate databases to them. Soon, we had real estate agents seeking us out becuase their competitors had web sites and they didn't.
I imagine that this way of getting a share of the web design market would work just as well.
