Hi All,

I was just wondering, how much you spent on your living ? (please do not include/count your business expenses and taxes).

Where's the option for under $1000/month? Some of us are students, you know.

I don't see an under $1,000.00 option...damn rich people discriminating against the poor college student type... :(

Under $1,000 ?

I currently run on $820 month...

It's amazing that at $.12 for a pack of Ramen Noodles someone is still making a profit....

Some scholarships stipulate that you're not allowed to take any form of paid employment.

ahh thats fair enuff then. just have a pet hate about students who complain about lack of money. i knew oxbridge were against students working during their batchellors. but then again they have the pull to demand you all die your hair red and vote monster raving loonie lol. good luck on your doctorate.

Some students -- without large scholarships -- find work, almost always outside of term. Almost all graduate students take tutorials and earn some money that way. As a general rule, oxbridge students are not poor.

That said, there certainly are some students who have financial problems... but I can't help noticing that usually the students with financial problems are also the students who drink $200/month or more.

totally agree on the drinking. ive kinda put my 3rd year on indefinate hold (decision made last week lol) because i realised i had too many oppertunities i couldnt turn down and the degree was actually the least useful. students go from such extremes money wise, cos i work long hours i find that its not so much that i earn money its that i dont have the time to spend it. whereas those that dont work, (and arent at a premier uni, i do understand the demands are totally different time wise) have so much time and spare time = spent money.
