I have a few domains with namecheap, and a friend mentioned trouble getting to the server.

I tried a few minutes ago, and find that all 5 of the servers are down:

dns1.name-services.com
dns2.name-services.com
dns3.name-services.com
dns4.name-services.com
dns5.name-services.com

Anyone else having the same problem with their NameCheap.com Domain? I emailed Richard K, enetwork, but since this is kind of an emergency, i thought I'd post too...

As of right now, dns1 is down, the other 4 seem to be back up. Maybe nobody noticed until I sent a bunch of emails? That's bad...

They use enom's DNS which is actually quite good. I have not experienced any downtime with their DNS today at all

There were no dns issues yesterday that we are aware of.

This issue was most likely your ISP temporarily blocking the nameservers themselves which does happen from time to time.

try to check dns from several places to make sure its working or not.

such as dnsreport.com dnsstuff.com checkdns.net dnscheck.com and so on
