I have two domain names to choose from for our new webhosting site, that will be up soon.
Which of the two do you think is best, and why?

first one is Tophosted.com
second one is Fine-hosting.com

I prefer the first but the second one might work better on search engines, what do you think?

As long as your company provides good support for its customers, either name would be fine in my book. ;)

However, in my opinion, tophosted sounds like a hosting top list, similar to toph*sts.com.

Yes that is what I thought as well. It does sound like a directory.
We may go for Fine-hosting. The name is important to us, because we plan to use it for many years to come;
Of course we will provide great support . That goes without question. I think that is one of the most important things along with up time.
Space and bandwidth you can get any where, but up time and support is not always included. I know I have needed it in the past, and I am sure everyone expects it.
we hope to go live in about 2-4 weeks.

You may even want to expand your choices.
Unless these are names that you feel you need, I would explore other avenues.
IMHO tophosted.com sounds (as mentioned earlier) like a directory.
While fine-hosting.com may sound fine, it would be easy for prospective clients that "hear" about you to not find you by mis-typing the name. I, personally, just don't like names with hyphens in them.
Good names drop all the time.
And it's possible; the best name has never been thought of, yet. :)

I think the best thing for you to do is go to www.deleteddomains.com and do a power search with all domains that have the word "host" in them. I just for 1,437 domain names..Thats your best bet.. You should try to stay away from anything with a "-"in it..

I would have to agree with what was said above. Tophosted just doesn't sound right either. And I try to avoid hypens and numbers used in the place of words (2 and 4). I would keep looking.
