I see a couple names we woudl like to have but I did a whois search and some of the names look to be owned by different people in different parts of the county?

Are you a reseller?

No, it's Stargate's WHOIS being flaky when searched from other WHOIS, like OpenSRS. It's not a bug, it's a 'feature'.

Go to http://www.stargate.com/pages/whois.asp and look them up from there. They are all listed under my name.

Thanks. Please remember these are on a first-come first-served basis; if others request the same names I will have to honor their dib on the name first :D

I have over a period of time purchased many domain names from Timechange and he always responds and transfers quickly and problem free. In fact, just purchased 5 more.....darn.....gotta stay away from him.

First of all, you are free-riding on my ad. Make your own thread.

Second, what you see as available might be already taken. ;)

Thanks.

Pardon me, but what are people using these domains for? What exactly is the value here? Seriously, I would like to know because I see scores of expired domains like these everyday which someone registered at one-time.

Hoping that won't be considered bumping, here's my reply:

I am not saying that all of these domains are of interest to everyone. But I have sold quite a few to hosting companies that need a short - sometimes descriptive or cool sounding - domain name, with only 3 characters to remember.

There are others, that like certain numbers or the way the domain name looks 'on paper'. Creative individuals, graphic companies or entrepreneurs.

The reselling value of these domains are from $25 to $150 and more, depending on the particular sequence. All 3-letter .COM's are taken and very rarely drop. These have a value of at least $350 and up to $900, depending on the name.

Prices have definitely dropped; you would buy the domains that I am offering for $200 minimum a couple of years ago. But in the long run, it can be either an investment or a creative domain for actual use.

I hope this answers your questions :D
