I have been informed that yet another formal complaint has been launched against Registerfly. I did not start it, but will be following this as it moves ahead.
Aziza Salikhov is the investigator for consumer affairs in NJ. He is the one to contact that will be looking into these complaints.
His email is: e-commerce@dca.lps.state.nj.us
He is -very- interested in hearing from any others that feel they have been wronged by Registerfly.
If he needs more info he will email you back.
These are all the details I have at the moment.
So if anyone wants a place to vent that will listen, please consider contacting Aziza.

Note that it is not a good idea to complain against registerfly IF you still have any domains (or hosting) with them.
Once they find out you are part of any action against them, they will immediately lock your account, and you will not be able to login any more.
Good luck!

heh.
Well I am not the one that started this investigation...and I certainly wont share who was.... (for the record, it was no one on this web site ironically!)
I do know ALOT of people are beginning to contact the Attorney Generals office in NJ...They have finally started to rub the right people the wrong way....
I no longer do any business with this company. Its way too risky for me. If someone wants to register cheap domains (perhaps for spamming or something) then this company is the way to go.
But other than that.... Caveat emptor!

mine got locked because I said I had disputed a charge...so basically they take over my domains and I am SOL. Wish I had found this site before I registered my last 2 domains with them d-bags

I basically did the same thing -- only because I couldn't reach them by any means, I initiated a chargeback through American Express.
All domains locked, and now they have pointed those domains at ADVERTISING... So not only have they screwed me, but now they are making money off traffic that was going to my sites!
Dirtbags is too kind a term.

Illegal Business Practice by Enom and Registryfly its reseller
Yes Enom is secretly involved.
Let’s say there is a hurricane that blows down your home. You go to get wood to build it up or gas to run your car and the price has now been multiplied by ten times. This is price gouging and is illegal and unfair business practice. Enom has applied this concept to domain renewals through their own reseller, whom went out of business, as well as their current practices (June 20th 2007). Enom and Registry fly were in business together and have had some of the same billing issues. Enom denies this, but it is a true fact based on lawsuits and my own personal experience with their management team lying and stealing from people who do not know any technical jargon. Do not deal with this company called Enom. Yes, they are very nice on the phone and nice people, but what they are saying is one thing and what they do is another. They are thieves. I spoke with Brendon out of the Enom Seattle office and caught him in lies and let him know. he really had nothing to say except to send an email to Enom. I am providing my number below to show this is a true and legitimate complaint.
