Well after a contact a TopHosts.com trying to contact me over the past 3 weeks leaving about 4 messages and even a couple says "Hi Paul it's John give me a call back at 416-XXX-XXXX" as if I would not remember his name from his previous 3 messages. Anyway I looked at there rates which is nothing I could ever see myself willing to pay now or in the future. After receiving several emails from "John" and not answering them I get me umpteenth message from him again asking how we can build a relationship and help "Build my business" I finally reply to this guy hoping he will finally leave me alone by telling him nicely that I basically just get customers through word of mouth and a few banner impressions I have going.. Well guess what 4 hours later I get spam from news.tophosts.com? Maybe he did not like my answer? So anyway I email newsflash-request@news.tophosts.com and put in the unsubscribe request and low and behold I get this in reply:

Re: your unsubscribe request

Sorry, but your email address:
> pmowery@okihost.com

is not listed as a member of 'newsflash'.

Thus, you could not be unsubscribed.

I mean with money rolling in from such high priced hosts at Datapipe and the rest of there main page why is it that they will not leave me alone? It takes alot for me to go out in public and bitch about something but the last thing I need is an addition to the allready 200+spam messages I get in a month.

That's very interesting... I think it was just coincidence that you got an email when you did. I have been advertising at tophosts.com for more than seven months, and I just got my first "spam-like" email from them a couple of hours ago.

I'm not saying it's ok for them to send those to you, I'm just saying that in this case, i think it may just be a coincidence!

Hum.. Maybe you should "Unsubscribe" John's real email address from all those 200+ SPAM messages you got last month. :D

We all know what happens when you Unsubscribe from SPAM. :mad:

I have the same case as OKIhost. I remember i use our support email to sign up with them. We sent a unsubscribe and they reply us telling that our email isn't in their list. This is weird. I got two emails from tophosts in the beginning, by the way.

well i have blocked tophost keyword in our mailling system. ;)

no more spams.
