View Full Version : windows reselling (europe based if possible)
psykik 10-11-2005, 06:53 AM Hello all,
I'm now a happy resellerzoom advanced plan costumer. I'm very happy with the service. My sites and clients are up all the way. and I don't get those e-mails anymore notifying my server is down.
which is good.
I would now like to expand my services to provide Windows with ASP.NET hosting.
Can you recommend any host ?
if in the US I'd prefer hosts located on the east coast. (NAC, GNAX)
or european based.
I'm do not have a budget right, I first want to see what are the good market-leaders...
thanks
layer0 10-11-2005, 07:15 AM Here are a few names...
http://www.hostnexus.com/resellers/windows_reseller_hosting.htm - NAC, I think.
http://www.jodohost.com/reseller.asp - Miama, Florida
01globalnet 10-11-2005, 02:50 PM I would highly recommend EuroVPS.com !!

Used to be NAC but we are now at FortressITX and very happy to be there and treated like royalty. :)

Isn't that also in Florida? :)
psykik 10-20-2005, 05:56 AM Jodohost seems to be a good company. I like their plans.
Hsphere and oracle db's included
unfortunately I get really bad network performance when tracing their website. (21 hops to reach it and above 150 ms)
Eurovps seems to have nice deals too. & they are located in europe.
Yash-JH 10-20-2005, 10:51 AM psykik, where are you tracing from? We are running pure InterNAP bandwidth and they are definately known for their low latency and excellent connectivity
psykik 10-20-2005, 12:06 PM I am tracing from my local pc's in belgium
on a DSL line (4Mbps dl/380kbps up)
do you have Ip's I can ping and trace
or test files I can dl ?
thanks
Shaw Networks 10-20-2005, 01:02 PM Be sure to check out UnitedHosting.co.uk they fit the requirements you have.
EDIT: Sorry, I just remembered after I submitted this thread that they host their servers out of the United States.

really ? how is that ?
I only see Linux based servers
I'm asking since the beginning of this thread for Windows based ASP.NET hosting
and preferably a hosting company that will upgrade their servers to .NET 2.0 for ASP.NET 2.0 in november...
UH-Matt 10-20-2005, 06:32 PM We do have servers in both the USA and the UK.
Unfortunately we are Linux only and dont offer any Windows plans.
So thanks for the recommendations, and all the best to the poster in finding windows based services.

I suggest you take these remaining questions to our forum and I'd be happy to provide you with test files or whatever you need there. We have a number of customers from Belgium and I have never heard of slow connectivity/speeds from them

High latency is often not indictive of slow speeds.
Yash-JH 10-20-2005, 08:32 PM Also, ~150ms from europe isn't bad at all. However it could be slightly better. From the UK, we ping in < 100ms
psykik 10-25-2005, 09:53 AM Ok It seems that EuroVps have a very nice deal on Windows Reselling.
and their servers are very powerfull and most importantly: located in europe.
I'm getting lightening fast speeds to them (15 ms pings)
but they seem to offer PLESK as a control panel.
I was now wondering how everyone here manage their client setup.
I currently use clientexec for my Linux server. I could let them signup through clientexec and manually add their account on the plesk windows server.
The HELM control panel would be nice here since it's all integrated.
I was wondering how you guys do it ...
thanks a lot ;)
EuroVPS 10-25-2005, 10:23 AM Plesk 7.5.5 has proven to be more reliable, and far better supported by the manufacturer than Helm. Helm is a good product as well however it is something we are not actively promoting at this time.
psykik 10-25-2005, 10:31 AM yes but having something that signs up your clients automatically is also nice.
but yes, I could let them sign up via clientexec on my linux server
and then add them manually in plesk. but that's not really productive...
but an integrated solution is also nice ;)
but as far as servers specs, location and price goes, eurovps seems one of the best ;)
