View Full Version : Is parkingsite.com legit? I'm looking for a good parker
kiplarson 10-10-2005, 04:34 AM I almost always find websites that aren't really websites, rather they are just advertising links related to the domain I accidentally stumble upon. My question is, I have plenty of domains that I don't intend to use yet as I don't have a lot of time to develop them.
So how can I make money off them just sitting there? Well - are there any other sites that do this? Like parkingsite.com (http://www.parkingsite.com)? Are they legit? Or do you recommend someone else? Or am I in the completely wrong section for this?
dmaven 10-10-2005, 09:16 AM sedo
domainsponsor
domainspa
are just a few sites that do this.
TheLaw 10-10-2005, 09:38 AM You should just google about it, there are many parking site, the ones that i can recommend are sedo and afternic.
Good luck
dmaven 10-10-2005, 01:56 PM Most of the payouts are not that great. If you have a smaller group of names sedo is OK
kiplarson 10-10-2005, 03:01 PM What is your top recommendation? Like which one rules them all? Or are they all similiar?
dmaven 10-10-2005, 03:45 PM domainsponsor is good, if you are big enough for larger traffic aggregators(google, overture) this is OK as well.
dodo1 10-10-2005, 04:08 PM Hallo everyone, I know the owner of ParkingSite.com and I can
assure you that his parking service is legit.
I've had quite good experiences with PS so far. Especially their
landing pages look very nice. They've got the best parked page
design, in my opinion.
PS partnered with Google, so there is almost no topic which PS
cannot display ads for.
The service is still quite new though, but I think it will become a
very good parking service in the near future, since the PS team
is making changes and additions to their system on a regular
basis.
All in all, it's you who should decide which parking service to use.
You should try some different services for your domains and park
them where they generate most money. For instance, gambling
domains make most money with Fabulous, in my experience. Sedo
is a good parking service, too, and they're good if you also want
to sell your domain name (although you can put for sale signs on
your parked pages at almost every parking service lately).
By the way, a great positive feature of ParkingSite is that you get
your payout every week and there is no minimum payout.
kiplarson 10-10-2005, 11:29 PM Hallo everyone, I know the owner of ParkingSite.com and I can...
Do they have direct deposit? Heh suppose I could just look myself. Well what about Gaming url's? Is parking site pay out well for those?
domainsponsor is good, if you are big enough for larger traffic aggregators(google, overture) this is OK as well.
What do you mean by this? aggregators? I've never seen anything about google even having a program.
Bashar 10-11-2005, 06:41 PM there is fabulous.com which has high payout
you might want to review ppcincome.com pretty nice website that talks about them all
another new commer to the market is NameDrive.com ndparking.com they use google but prvide higher % that what other people is keeping
dmaven 10-11-2005, 09:44 PM I think fabulous is good if your domain names are gambling related
kiplarson 10-12-2005, 04:22 AM There are so many to choose, I'm not sure which ones to choose.

Try to "test" some of your higher traffic names with some of the providers that have been suggested. See which one works for you
Bashar 10-12-2005, 09:34 AM testing is the best and usually programs that allows you to change the keyword are the best too because there is some keywords which pay higher than others
kiplarson 10-12-2005, 11:32 PM Ok, thanks for the ideas! I'll do that. Maybe I'll try and find which ones allow keyword changing I assume most allow right?
Bashar 10-12-2005, 11:53 PM yeah most but some programs only allow keywords that match the domain or similar to the domain keys
dmaven 10-13-2005, 09:20 AM The really good services will optimize the domain names for you
dsotmoon 10-13-2005, 06:51 PM I think parkingsite is owned or affiliated with dnforum but I'm not positive, I swithced all my domains from sedo to parkingsite and revenue has double, albeit these are low traffic domains but 1 or 2 that was getting no revenue with sedo is now so thats a good sign
kiplarson 10-16-2005, 07:50 AM I applied to parking site, but haven't heard anything back. I think I did it this weekend, so maybe they will msg back during the week. I don't see why they would ever turn anyone down though.
Anyone know?
