Ok, is there any webhost that has been in business for more than 10 seconds that doesn't have a bad review by someone on WebHostingTalk?
I keep looking at hosts and then do a search and find a bad review or an iffy review on each one. I am looking for a small shared hosting with a minimal amount of bandwidth. (100 MB Disk Space & 5 GB Transfer & the ability to handle a .name domain)
Any suggestions before my head explodes?

If the host has been around for a while, you are bound to find a bad review somewhere. No host can satisfy 100% of their clients 100% of the time. ;) The trick is to find a host that has "mostly" good reviews. Just ask some people here, or find one of those "I'm looking for..." threads. Check out the hosts that people recommend.

There isn't a company of any sort that doesn't have complaints of one kind or another. Don't let that part get to you. In addition, it's a pretty tough and savvy crowd around here so you're bound to run into some hair-trigger reactions.
Find a couple hosts that look attractive (and older than 10 seconds), shoot them a couple emails and weigh their responses. Check for comments about them here. Pick one that offers a 30-day guarantee and give them a whirl.
Remember, your mileage may vary. Make your own decisions. What floats your boat may sink someone else's. Etc., etc. . . :D

www-hosting.net probably has a ton of complaints on here, but they seem to have worked through the worst of their growing pains and have overall been reasonably stable.
I've been with them for just about a year now, and while it was spotty service for a while, they always threw themselves 100% at fixing any problems they had.

Luckily we have escaped this so far, but I am sure it is to come. We go out of the way for people, and sometimes it is still not enough and they leave mad. It happens with this business, just as if you were selling sandwiches, some will like it, some will love it, and some will think you suck......

Expanding upon this... also note that not every host is right for everyone. People have different needs, and those needs are often satisfied by different hosts which cater to one need or another. Varying expectations also play a big role in the whole picture. You might be perfectly satisfied with a host someone else hated.
