I have 2 domain names I have owned for years. Someone made me an offer and now I wish to sell them. having never done this before any suggestions from more experienced people would be most helpful.

only 1 thing springs to mind, dont transfer the domain before you have the cash (or in a escrow account), also i wouldnt recomend accepting a creditcard payment.

once you have that, they can do most of it, you need to unlock the domain (if its locked) and then they initiate the transfer of it.

Always use escrow and never accept checks are two areas to start

One more question, is it customary for the buyer or seller to pay escrow?

Thank you, it is over $1000. I have recommended escrow.com to the buyer based on what I learned here.

escrow.com is fine, but sedo.com escrow's service is more into domains related and can help/guide both buyer/seller through the process :)

I settled on escrow.com. It appears like they are waiting on payment from the buyer. Hopefully it goes smooth
