Hi,

I'm writing a billing software here and I'm taking 3rd party payment gateways like paypal.com, 2checkout.com, revecom.com, ematic.com and worldpay into consideration.

I would like to manually approve my orders. The flow for ordering a hosting plan is like this:

1. Signed up via our order form.
2. User being redirected to Paypal.com form.
3. User paid the amount, and our billing software is notified.
4. Order is entered into our Pending Order List.
5. Administrator review the order and then click on Approve or Decline.

The problem is here, what if the administrator noticed that the order is suspicious and decided to decline the order? Does gateways like paypal.com, 2checkout.com, revecom.com, ematic.com or worldpay.com have a refund order functionality?

To my knowledge, Paypal doesn't have this feature.

Any help or suggestion would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
Joe

You can refund the order with our service by simply clicking on the transaction and following the instructions.

In cases where you only want/need to issue a partial refund, you need to contact us to do the credit.

You can refund in PayPal after I think 2 days. When you come out with the software, will you please let me take a look at it?

Thanks,
Sean

PayPal users can refund a transaction within the first five days. You will not incur any fees for the transaction-

If I send a refund, are the fees credited back as well?

Yes. When you send a refund using the refund button, PayPal will also refund the fees charged for the transaction.

You can also set payment preferences in your account to accept/deny payments.

Revecom:
Refunds are done right off of your control center. I haven't had to do one so I don't know the time line, but I would be willing to ask for you if you like.

It's pretty quick I think. We've done a few and no-one has ever come back to complain about not recieving it in a decent amount of time.

I believe refund could only be done using control panel in each payment solution. So you may not be able to link the "decline" to refund.

e.g. in PayPal you need to login into your account to refund.
