I have a website, then I decided to move it to get advantage of the better packages offered by other hosts. Mine is just lagging behind. After a considerable time evaluating the hosts and packages, I decided to go with site5. I applied for their Zenith package over 48 hours ago. Ever since, I have been waiting for their email communicating to me the readiness of my account and what to do from there. I even sent them an email yesterday to see what's been holding them backwards and still no reply. What's the deal? Someone knows how long it should take to set the account? I remember the host I am still with got me up and going in virtually no time. I just hope I didn't make the wrong choice with site5. What do site5 clients say about site5's customer support?

well i don't know about the rest of the country/world......but the weather was perfect (at least in chicago :D) this weekend.....

.....maybe site5's accounts dept actually got some sun?

in either case, it should not take more than 12 hours for a host to activate your account. Some hosts even offer instant or 15 minute account activation. I say wait no more than 72 hours if you really wanna go with site5. If they don't reply within 72 hours of placing the order i think it's time to move on....

That could be it. I have already thought about it, but with the 24/7 thing, I thought it also applied to the sales. Anyway I will wait until it's Tuesday before I take any action. I will keep you posted. Thanks for replying.

I honestly thought all you guys worked on the weekends :) I see you and a rep from all these hosting companies at all hours of the day.

Well, we generally do handle sales and new account setups on weekends. However, this past weekend we had a few additional matters to attend to, and as a result new account setups might have taken longer than usual.

As a general rule, new accounts are setup pretty quickly--anywhere from 5 minutes to a couple of hours.

I apologize for the delay. Please feel free to let us know if there is anything else we can do for you.
