I have signed up with gearhost because they are the cheapest host i can find for asp.net and SQL 2000. Everything goes fine i get the login info for the icontrol and i login.
I start my ftp server and web server.
Then i try and log into my ftp server and it doesn't work :-(
I have tryed phoning them and there busy, support tickets don't work.
Someone please help.
How long it it meant to take???

uhh, you got what you paid for?

I understand that its a sunday. Im sure they will fix it.
Can someone else tell me if they had this problem or is it just me???

I have just checked the following things;
web server :: working
ftp server :: NOT working
ssl :: working
SQL 2000 :: working
Domains :: working

Everything is working except ftp.
Has anyone else had this problem?

sigh, log on to your icontrol, go to FTP Server -> Start & Stop Service...

FTP Server xx.xxx.xxx.xxx [xxxx***********] is currently running. [ stop ] [ restart]

If its stopped then start it...

i have its started

my accounts are working perfectly (on oberon and callisto). I think you should contact support.

I have contacted support but no reply. I have phoned them but no answer. Please someone sujest a good email address to send support problem to as the ticket system doesn't seam to work.

They have fixed it all :-)
Everything is now working.
I must say this it is a sunday so i didn't realy expect them to fix it today but they did.
