Pretty straight forward question. Who are your favorite domain registrars and why? If you don't see your favorite on the list let us know who and why they are your favorite.

Maxo 10-02-2005, 08:50 AM Namecheap has been best for me. I have all my domains parked there. I like user-friendly interface and never had any problems with them. Masud 10-02-2005, 02:58 PM I have good number of domains with Registerfly and I have not faced any issue yet. Its a good deal. waikit86 10-02-2005, 11:50 PM I am a Namecheap fan  sea otter 10-03-2005, 06:22 AM Err, um, what about plain old eNom? I mean, I have a reseller account there, so I do all my work directly through them. I had to check "other" :( unity100 10-03-2005, 09:23 AM enom is not on the list ? it is the biggest from what i remember. sea otter 10-03-2005, 09:26 AM Originally posted by unity100 enom is not on the list ? it is the biggest from what i remember. That's what I'm sayin' :) Where'd eNom Go???? HSRGeorge 10-03-2005, 10:23 AM pairnic.com. not too cheap, not too expensive. good service. stable company behind it (pair.com). Divaqs 10-03-2005, 11:11 AM eNom needs to be on the list trosoid 10-03-2005, 09:18 PM Originally posted by artofmobile Never have issue with namecheap,.. in short, good and stable. At NameCheap have very bad technical support, in case of serious problems, very seldom answer. 5-9 days to not answer is for them a normal situation, especially for clients not from USA. My problem already almost month solve, and I and have not received the intelligible answer. Now I look for other NORMAL registrar. CHB-Hosting 10-03-2005, 10:01 PM You should add Netfirms. They just had a special on domains for .com and .ca domains. They're supposed to be free, but the catch is you have to pay $2.99 CAD (which is about $2 USD) for the shipping of the free CD rom. $2 for a .com or a .ca! and .ca's are supposed to be $14 when they're cheap :) enetwork 10-03-2005, 10:06 PM Trosoid, We answer all emails every day. If I had to guess I would say this situation was a fraud case and you are upset because we stopped responding to your emails after the first few explaining the situation. That is usually the case for a non response or one after nine days like you claim. It's this last statement that leads me to believe that fraud is the case here. I am quite confident our support team would not leave a normal client waiting for 9 days for a response. Had you said you did not receive an email at all I could see a possible problem with delivery to us or from us but the 9 days statement just doesn't add up. We have people that commit fraud all the time and yet they still expect us to go back and forth with them. We even get threats from them to attempt to ruin our name on message boards(just happened a few days ago). Seeing that this is your first post that might be the case here. If not, please give us further details of your situation. Disgruntled 10-04-2005, 12:23 AM Godaddy has worked well for me. Given some of the stated experiences of others posted, I'm kind of tentative about recommending them, but I found that it can work well. Namecheap has been very good. My only reason for transferring away from them is because of ENOM's tolerent attitude towards a spamming ENOM (but not Namecheap) registrant, which made me want to withdraw business from ENOM. trosoid 10-04-2005, 12:50 AM Originally posted by enetwork Trosoid, We answer all emails every day. I write to you letters through email, and your answers very rare. In last letter you have told, that I have sent the problem to you. I have sent you the problem 6-7 days ago, but the answer and have not received. By the way speaking it already the second attempt to solve this problem. It can be simple you ignore of such clients because I do not live in USA and my English not such good? :bawling: enetwork 10-04-2005, 09:36 AM Originally posted by trosoid [B]I do not understand, how the client paid to you of money and demanding from you work can be the swindler? Just because you pay us money does not mean you are not using stolen credit card funds. Regardless, if our fraud prevention team determines your account is a risk, the funds are automatically credited back and the domains are deleted so there is nothing lost here. Did you not get the funds credited back to you or is this because you did not actually have access to the bank account to see that they were in fact credited back? We do not keep any funds that are determined to be fraud. This would only lead to chargebacks so it doesn't make sense for us to do this. Bashar 10-06-2005, 09:09 PM eNom has been added now :) sea otter 10-07-2005, 12:09 AM can someone *cough* mods *cough* move my vote from "other" to eNom? :) avythe 10-07-2005, 12:14 AM I like DynADot, not bad service and it's fast. True indeed. At least we set one record straight :) thx again. artofmobile 10-07-2005, 10:05 AM Originally posted by trosoid At NameCheap have very bad technical support, in case of serious problems, very seldom answer. 5-9 days to not answer is for them a normal situation, especially for clients not from USA. I'm not a big customer of them,. having only 7 domain names with them, I consider myself the smallest fly in their eyes. Nevertheless, I never have any support email that is ever response back more than a day, let along 5-9 days. Perhaps the problem is in your email server. foress 10-07-2005, 10:26 AM Don't turn this nice thread into namecheap support thread. :D But, my vote goes to namecheap! Where're those Godaddies? ;) Saburovo.com 10-10-2005, 02:27 PM eNom.com ;) sea otter 10-10-2005, 02:39 PM @fortress -- agreed! Answers don't even need to be more than one word long, in fact. Speaking of which... @Saburovo -- welcome to WHT, excellent answer ;) RTM.net 10-10-2005, 10:36 PM After years of having tried out many many registrars, by the end of this year we will have migrated about 75% of our domain portfolio to GD. In general very happy with their service, rates and management tools. Granted, they're advertising heavy all the time on their site, but hey - that's part of how they offer relatively low rates. The remainder of our porftfolio will remain on other registrars for technical reasons and also at the request of certain of our clients. Cheers, Rob GetHoste 10-10-2005, 10:52 PM I've been using godaddy for a few years now. can't say i've ever had a problem with them... They get my vote. cedced 10-12-2005, 02:02 PM I vote Melbourne IT it's safe :D Dan L 10-12-2005, 03:57 PM eNom! Cyphernomicon 11-06-2005, 08:12 AM Namecheap (http://namecheap.com) all the way! I want to puke because of those every-step "yes, please add this service to my shoping cart" :/ Ariel74 11-07-2005, 05:15 PM Namecheap is just an eNom reseller. If you plan on registering a lot of domains, it would make more sense to just obtain an eNom reseller account. Better yet, a DirectI reseller account, since they'r even cheaper for low volume registration. BlueBoxHost 11-07-2005, 06:20 PM We use eNom for ours. Works good since our billing software uses the eNom API for registrations. -Dustin Dollarized 01-06-2006, 11:59 AM I am a NameCheap fan as well. Though I used them relatively recently and had not any problems entailing support issues, I am very happy with their user interface and entire platform. Prices are great too. I saw the NC's owner's posting and want to felicitate him for how comfy it is registering domains from NC. I equally like Directnic though it's pricey. stefaans 01-06-2006, 12:47 PM OpenSRS has been good for us. But I sure wish their prices were a bit lower ;) etechsupport2 01-06-2006, 12:52 PM goDaddy eNom Directi David 01-06-2006, 04:09 PM Namecheap -- for personal use.
