BurstNET 04-14-2002, 03:21 AM We are being flooded...we are working on it.... Sean R. BurstNET TimPD 04-14-2002, 04:04 AM Thank You for your fast reply. I was going to call myself :). mahinder 04-14-2002, 04:08 AM anyway looks like problem is solved. :uzi: Hackers ;) NinthSwat 04-14-2002, 04:16 AM Originally posted by mahinder anyway looks like problem is solved. :uzi: Hackers ;) Yeah, good job, burst. cannon71 04-16-2002, 07:49 PM They seem to be down again for the same reason. Redundancy would be money well spent. BurstCSM 04-16-2002, 11:03 PM Sorry for the inconvenience everyone. We came under 2 simultaneous attacks, and have spent the time isolating them, and working with the upstream providers to block them. The router is fine, and we have backups in place in the event of a failure. Everything stipulated on our website is correct, and both the AT&T and Sprint lines are being upgraded very soon. We are awaiting the completion of the circuts from local LECs (Local Exchange Carriers) to upgrade the lines. The fiber should be completed on Thursday of this week, and we're scheduled for next week to have the OC3's completed. We're sorry for the inconvenience to everyone, and are working to ensure that this is not a regular occurrance. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Sincerely, nmihosting 04-17-2002, 08:23 AM Hey Matthew, How you doing ... long time no speak. You moved from Dialtone to Burst? The Laughing Cow 04-17-2002, 12:05 PM . TimPD 04-17-2002, 12:11 PM No, They're up. They're still being flooded but however, they're up. I talked to Lyron on AIM and they're working on it. BurstCSM 04-17-2002, 07:30 PM Hi Leeanne, Yup, I'm here. I just sent you a PM, would love to chat. Take care, NinthSwat 04-25-2002, 11:15 AM Down again?!? can't connect through AT&T network. sPoT! 04-25-2002, 11:46 AM Originally posted by NinthSwat Down again?!? can't connect through AT&T network. Seems to be; haven't been able to connect since late last night. Bogdan 04-25-2002, 12:23 PM We are in the same boat. It's been over 12 hours now. Connection resolves very slow when it's not down. NinthSwat 04-25-2002, 12:31 PM Maybe burst can comment anything? last month uptime/quality is hell Bogdan 04-25-2002, 01:17 PM We've phoned their support twice - they are working on resolving the issue. I can personally deal with our web site being down, I just feel bad for our customers. Being down for more than half a day is crucial to any business. :uhh: NinthSwat 04-25-2002, 01:22 PM Yeah, issue resolved. Reason: upgrading DS3 ATT to OC3 nate 04-25-2002, 01:26 PM uh... we are being flooded.... uh... we are working on it..... uh... it is a routing issue .... so what is the REAL ISSUE ? sounds like they need to get it together over thier! i am going to reread their SLA and see what is says, as this is rediculous! 2Mhost 04-25-2002, 08:29 PM any news ? my servers there unreachable ... do some one know when i cant expect things up again ? clocker1996 04-25-2002, 08:38 PM interesting.. AshleyShea 04-30-2002, 12:28 PM ...to have known about this before I switched my web/e-mail hosting over to this company. :( BurstNET 04-30-2002, 03:58 PM Funny...we have never had an order placed by an "Ashley Shea". Joined the forum just to post this one line comment huh? Sean R. BurstNET AshleyShea 04-30-2002, 04:14 PM I never use my real name on message boards. I play it a lot safer than that on the web. I guess your name is BurstNet? CRego3D 04-30-2002, 04:29 PM Originally posted by AshleyShea I never use my real name on message boards. I play it a lot safer than that on the web. I guess your name is BurstNet? Well, you have to see his point, nameless acusations are common here, if you goign to put them down, at least say who you are AshleyShea 04-30-2002, 04:44 PM Ummm..Why? Can't they look into my account and see who I am? And...I didn't make any accusations. Just said I wish I had known of the problems here. Seems a lot of time is being spent on someone who just wanted to know the facts. I didn't say anything negative about the site as previous posters have....and nothing was said to them. I find this very strange. dektong 04-30-2002, 08:13 PM Originally posted by AshleyShea I never use my real name on message boards. I play it a lot safer than that on the web. Hm ... I clicked on your www link below, and walah ... I got your real name (and picture of you too), unless if those are not a real "real name/picture" :D cheers, AshleyShea 04-30-2002, 08:32 PM Yep...it's my picture...but not my real name. And...the point is? Isn't this site supposed to be about web hosting? 311 04-30-2002, 08:41 PM Originally posted by AshleyShea Isn't this site supposed to be about web hosting? Are we not allowed to have any fun at all? :bawling: CRego3D 05-01-2002, 09:11 AM Originally posted by AshleyShea Isn't this site supposed to be about web hosting? Yes, but it seems that allot of peopel have fun just bashing hosts just becuase they are big or bigger WHT while a great place, has been attracting his share of wannabees and jeleous people that love to sign under a new name to bash the competion AshleyShea 05-09-2002, 11:42 AM As a host, I would be a bit more concerned about making my service reliable so that no one had anything to complain about. I had no idea when I went with 2MHost that they used Burstnet. In doing research now, I am discovering that I am not the only one who is not satisfied with Burstnet. I wasted quite a bit of money registering my domain with 2MHost only to find that sometimes my customers could get e-mail through to me, sometimes they could make it to my site, and sometimes they couldn't. As a business person, my web/e-mail host has to be up and running MOST of the time. Otherwise, what's the point? AshleyShea mahinder 05-10-2002, 04:39 AM Any news burst bringing new OC-3 to there datacenter. BurstCSM told me 1 May was the deadline. :o BurstNET 05-10-2002, 04:51 AM << Any news burst bringing new OC-3 to there datacenter.>> CTSI installed the optical equipment to the new fiber yesterday. The Sprint OC3 should be live by late next week, and the OC3 to 401 N. Broad in Philly (still unannounced backbone(s)..) will be live shortly following. Our new Cisco 12000 series router should be arriving mid next-week, to handle this additional capacity. Also, we have a Powerware 160KVA facility-wide UPS system being installed within the next 4-6 weeks. The AT&T OC3 upgrade is scheduled for 6-8 weeks from now, shortly after the PPL Telcom fiber is installed. The Nocster are coming! The Nocster are coming! Stay tuned for an announcement on Nocster within the next few days! Sean R. BurstNET |
