I have a new signup for a site. The client has paid with Paypal on a monthly basis. So far, he has not moved his site over. The site is one of those "sort-of" fake sites that contains no real information, just a ton of links.... I hate those sites.

I sent him a welcome email and it bounced back....

should I be concerned???

is there a way in Cpanel or WHM to monitor an account... just to keep on top of what is happening for the first few months???

Anything in CGI-BIN? any odd folder names like /us with a cgi-bin inside of it, that has an html file called webscr?cmd=etcetcetc ?

So far, no... the directories are totally clean... I will keep checking though...

Did you voice verify this order by any chance? Check over the actual order itself to make sure the IP address of the user is in the same location as the user themselves specify in the form, etc.

Yah, watch the cgi-bin for directories and files which you do not understand. Some people utilize virtual space to run software for various reasons. Most of those reasons are ones you being the host will not like. Keep an eye on server loads if you have the ability as well.

But when I check the IP address it is in the range of the EBay servers...

Who knows.

I think this guy is probably legit, but I will monitor...
