Hello im thinking about using ipowerweb as a hoster. They offer alot for what there pirce is (very cheap). But as anyhere used them or herd of them. If you have please tell me what you know about them andyour experience with them.

was it just me or ddi others get popups linking to porn sites when you went to ipowerweb.com?

I don't know if i would trust a host that has pop ups like that [lol]

may explain their low cost

i've never used them...but just wanted to point out that I did not get any popups...

What it is, is a program secretly installed on your computer that sometimes gives pop-ups on random websites that don't normally have pop-ups.

Yes, they're very similar. Programs/scripts installed on your computer without your general knowledge or permission.

Sometimes they can be hidden away in the ToS... And usually you'll find them installed along with freeware/shareware programs you download from the Internet.

So, just as a reminder, beware-- And use programs such as AdAware www.lavasoft.de (used to remove spyware). ;)

The lavasoft software is the best ad remover software. Just make sure that you keep it up to date.

$7.95 isn't that bad for 15Gig transfer vs 5 Gigs and same options with other hosts. They have spammed the hell out of me though. Then again that's just part of the game I guess.
