I made this site where if you are the first person to complete a crossword puzzle with in 30 mins, you will get $10 via paypal from me. It's free to play, but soon someone told me that was considered gambling and gambling is illegal where I live. See This (http://www.gambling-law-us.com/State-Laws/Louisiana). Now I want my site to be fun and where people can recieve prizes. Where I live, I always see people doing raffle drawings in schools, stores, etc. Would doing something like a random person on the site wins a prize, like on blingo.com be legal? By the way the site I am referring to is in my sig, but I took the money prize off the site. Any other ideas are welcomed.

Are you requiring an entry fee to play? If not, then it's not gambling ;)
There has to be a losable investment for there to be a gamble involved. Gambling inherently involves risk. There's no risk here. Thank that nice person kindly for sharing, and go about your business.
Nope, no fee at all. That's why I was confused when I was reading over the laws.

Seems pretty clear in the first sentence of the page you linked to: "Gambling is the intentional conducting, or directly assisting in the conducting, as a business, of any game, contest, lottery, or contrivance whereby a person risks the loss of anything of value in order to realize a profit."
