View Full Version : Where's the beef?
appletreats 04-13-2002, 12:56 AM Do you know your meats? Beat the meat master (me) by determining which meat is beef through PM and get a little something special. If I feel like it (probably not). Also vote in the poll, and discuss this exciting image.
SoftWareRevue 04-13-2002, 01:01 AM Where's the "Other" button in the poll?
I really wanted to vote for 7.
But, I see, it isn't an option.
:bawling:

You're WAY outta line, mister.
TheException 04-13-2002, 01:52 AM I said B...
I wonder if I was right...
SmartPenguin 04-13-2002, 02:17 AM I vote A and D, as long as you promise me no penguins were hurt in the creation of this poll :).
TheException 04-13-2002, 03:59 AM lol.
Penguins are neat, I like them.
So when do we get to find out the true answer?
ChrisLM2001a 04-13-2002, 05:28 AM Since the photos are so small, I'd go with the obvious one: C (filet mignon).
Hmmmm, all those picks can be beef: as A could be chuck meat; B standing rib roast section; and D steak (porterhouse/T-Bone -- too fat in size for New York Strip [T-Bone without the bone]).
Serve all of those meals to your guy, and it may just be erotic! ;)

Avid beef eater
[Does that mean I'm Chicken's best friend??] ;)
bitserve 04-13-2002, 11:40 PM I've loved penguins ever since I was a kid. I have so much penguin stuff all over my bedroom. I still get it for presents.
Anyway, I voted D, which seems to be winning in the poll.
Rewdog 04-13-2002, 11:50 PM Why didn't you put the letters in order to vote on :) ?
SmartPenguin 04-14-2002, 12:20 AM I made one of those cafepress.com stores and then made a penguin mouse pad, and ordered it, now I wait :).
I think I'll make some shirts too :D.

Not applePutEverythingInOrder.
What would be the fun in that? :D
We should be thankful that they're letters that could be placed in order.
 But we want answers. And we want them now!
Where is the beef, appletreats?!!!
j/k . . . . . . sheeesh . . . . . chill out.
SI-Chris 04-14-2002, 01:30 AM It's a trick question. They're all beef.
SmartPenguin 04-14-2002, 01:33 AM OMG! Is that why you call yourself "Intelligent?" :)
I guess we're all not the beef experts we thought we were :(.

No, they're not! Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaahahahahaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahhaaaaaaaaaahahaaaaaaaaaha hhaaaahaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :emlaugh:
The answer is C! Not chosen by majority! Many people were wrong, so let's sing this song. A song about meat that can't be beat:
Beef is beef is meat is meat
Beef is meat that cant be beat
If you like meat have some now
Just one bite and you'll say "Wow!"
You liked the photos, you liked the song. Now nothing can make your day go wrong. I leave you friends with this thought, last night delicious beef I bought.
GONELIVE 04-14-2002, 03:03 PM Wheres the cream filling ? :stickout
SmartPenguin 04-14-2002, 03:26 PM Beef is beef is meat is meat
Beef is meat that cant be beat
If you like meat have some now
Just one bite and you'll say "Wow!"
I'll bet this is Chicken's favorite song ;).
I know it's mine ;). Luckily penguins arn't a popular food :stickout
bitserve 04-14-2002, 07:43 PM I have lots of t-shirts with penguins on them from Linux expos. Unfortunately they're all x-larges. What, they're thinking one size fits all? Are all people x-large?
Anyway, appletreats, you make me smile.
I'm going to run off and sing that song to my vegan friends. But only because they always give me a hard time, and because I'm carnivorous and proud. :)
Anyway, why is chopped up cow called beef? Why isn't it called cow? Or steer? Why beef? And why call pig, pork? I don't get it. I'll be waiting on the meat expert's opinion.
appletreats 04-14-2002, 07:54 PM Because "BEEF" sounds better and more manly than "chopped up cow". Would you rather have BEEF, or brutally slaughtered and sliced cow corpse bits? Beef stands for Big Edible Enjoyable Feast. Yum!
====================
Did you wake up this morning and discover a cow standing in your living room? Confused about which part is the "flank" and which part is the "dewlap"? Worry no more! Click here (http://www.m-w.com/mw/art/cow.htm) for the easy to use Guide to Cow Anatomy.

The kind of person who would attend a Linux expo is. :emlaugh:
SmartPenguin 04-14-2002, 08:11 PM And the kind that has too much brutally slaughtered and sliced cow corpse bits :D.
ScottD 04-14-2002, 08:21 PM I thought the beef was supposed to be under the pickel. That's what the old lady told me on TV.

Does anyone find it funny that an Appletreat is polling about beef?
If it was pork................. :o
Now if a MS employee comes in with a name like KillerWhaleSales, maybe he would poll about penguins as erotic dinner food?
lol

Do NOT mention the word WHALE right now. I swear I'm gonna go all-out INSANE in about 4 minutes. I've had a bad experience tonight.
