Hi, can anyone recommend a decent 3rd party payment processor? I'm too small for a merchant account at the moment but some of the 3rd party sale percentage fees are quite high
TIA

Even a custom API such as SOAP or xml-rpc would be great. I have been thinking about this, and its not necessarily a bad thing... all im interested in is if the payment was sucessfull, and if so i will issue credits to the account. A common process for doing this seems to be passback/callback url, which the 3rd party processor will return to on sale completion. Are there any tutorials for general stuff like this? Some example sites would be brilliant! I would rather avoid paypal as i find them quite intrusive and have had problems in the past. This is my humble opinion of course, im not trying to flame! TIA Chris Checkmated 09-25-2005, 11:28 AM DO NOT TOUCH PAYSAT! My truely advice! Moneybookers is a great place, since you don't have to worry about fraud (once you get paid, stay paid, no reserve, no chargeback, register are free, but 8% for each transaction, quite high, but they are great, money send via bank accounts within 12 bussiness hours once requested, there are small limitation, based on your account status, good support though....) Edvalbuena 09-26-2005, 01:48 AM try stormpay its good. etechsupport2 09-26-2005, 10:40 AM 3rd party PP, might be a good decision based on cost and maintenance for just starting a new business, but if you are serious about your business and supposed to process more then $1,000 per month then I'll suggest you to go with a merchant account as you can save enough money to cover the extra costs. |
