What control panel are you using (if any)? For example, we use H-Sphere, which is a complete hosting automation solution, including automated account creation, billing, control panel, support, etc. Common control panels include cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin, etc. The control panel you are using will affect the account creation software that is compatable.

If you are using Plesk, cPanel, DirectAdmin or many of the others with an API interface look into www.modernbill.com as it offers full atuomation including billing, signup, creation...

If you are on a bit of a budget or do not need the huge feature set provided by modernbill you can also look into whois.cart (http://www.whoiscart.net).

When you are looking for a billing automation solution make sure to take into your needs now and what you expect to need in the future.

Changing billing systems later after you have customers is not an easy task.

if you are using cpanel, clientexec is nice.. or just code it yourself.. that's more work but you have exactly what you want
