View Full Version : Billing System ??/
alanhomewood 04-12-2002, 07:24 PM HI Guys !
I am looking for a billing software to run on my local machine. This software should have a reminder facility. Like which account hosting/domains are going to expire when. As well as it should have the facility to make invoices, give receipts and make reports .
Any Idea ?? I would be greatful for a prompt rescue

exbabylon 04-13-2002, 01:36 PM You've got three choices.
Atrex
QuickBooks
PeachTree
Any one of these will do specific finctions as you're asking for. Atrex has something the others don't, and that's an easy to use recurring billing system. Atrex also has functions for simple POS and advanced inventory control. PeachTree has several different accounting programs, you'll have to choose which one is right for you. I personally would recoment QuickBooks which my company has been using for years. You won't need the professional version, and I doubt you'll need the pro, although the pro version makes it easy for us to track email, contacts, customers, and orders across multiple machines.
Omair @ HB 04-13-2002, 02:46 PM Hello exbabylon,
Is it possible for you to provide us with the link to Atrex and PeachTree ?

Optigold ISP.
Lonny 04-14-2002, 05:16 AM Microsoft Money Professional version.
akashik 04-14-2002, 11:38 AM I think your best bet would be to use Quickbooks. Not really hosting orientated as such, but it'll do what you need and is a very professional program.

DomiNET.net 04-14-2002, 01:30 PM what about perlbill.com?
progex 04-14-2002, 01:36 PM Just a question:
Which do you think is more efficient: Software programs (Quickbooks, etc.) or online billing solutions (modernbill.com, etc.)?
Does one or the other offer better features, flexibility, etc? Or are both solutions very similar to each other?
Thanks!
m00ds 04-14-2002, 01:40 PM you could also try OptiGold ISP http://www.digitalpoint.com. pricier than quickbooks though but you can download and try it out yourself.
Incognito 04-14-2002, 04:49 PM The traditional software programs such as Quickbooks can provide you an integrated accounting solution and email billing quite easily. However, in most cases, (yes, I know Quickbooks has a web product), they don't provide online access to the account information for your customer, nor do they provide any automatic account activation features for web hosts.
kmurrey 04-14-2002, 08:59 PM I use modernbill.com.
They have a new version coming out soon.
Check it out.
