Hello!
Can you please help me to decide one task. Currently I am going to accept payments only by PayPal. When customer click on "Order" button, he/she will be redirected to PayPal secure transaction page. Otherwise, before "Order", client must fill Sign Up form for account information, and this form only for personal information, no credit card or other financial information required. How do you think, I have to install SSL certificate anyway or not? Your opinion please!

You dont need an SSL if your using Paypal as they have already got one installed.

Seems that nice2design realizes that, but is collecting personal information before they get passed to PayPal, according to the post. The decision lies in how confident you think people will be without SSL when entering this personal information and whether not having it will cause people to exit before buying.

My personal opinion is, if you are collecting personal information of any kind, such as name address etc... then you should have an SSL cert installed.

Regarding your replies I see that it's recomended to have SSL installed even if you gather "only" personal information. Well, I take it seriously, SSL cert will be installed. Thanks everyone for help!
