Hello,
I would like some advice from my fellow WebHostingTalk Members.

I have two domains that I am interested in selling and that I have been emailed about.

They are:
htmlcorner.com
ez-webdomains.com

Could anyone help me with an approximate value or what I should base my sale price on. Also, if you are intersted or know someone who is, please drop me a line.

Thanks a million! (I would give it to you if I actually had it! lol)

Hi,
Thanks for the tip. Ill check it out again, but all I remember is about fees and that everyone listing a domain asked for an outrageous amount.

Dont get me wrong, Ill take 10 mill, LOL, but thats not what Im after. I am looking for some help estimating their value and greatdomains evaluates, but for $75.

Scott

Can anyone else help?

Yea, hard to tell the value of a domain. Somewhere on GreatDomains.com (or was it AfterNIC.com?) they list domain evaluation schemes, based on pretty trivial criteria :) Good points for domain value are:

- generic / descriptive
- short
- economically important business (cars.com is better than bikes.com)

Do not pay for appraisal services, the only one making a profit is GreatDomains.com or whoever offers it.

Do not pay for "showcase listing" on Greatdomains.com or any other domain broker site (same reason).

Personally I'd ask 300$ at least, no matter what domain. If the offer is below I'd prefer to let it expire :)

Good luck

What, it`s completely free. Top domains is 30.000.000 yes. Your domain wont come on the front page if that is waht you are ancious about.

Troutster: You could go to GreatDomains.com chat and ask your question there. They won't be able to help you much though, but you'll get an idea of just how freaky the whole domain business is....

Hi,
Maybe I will head on over and try the chat. Does anyone know someone who may be interested? I would rather do it with an individual rather then through a service (even though I know that they just match individuals).

I was hoping to actually develop those domains, but it now seems like I probably wont have the time to do so.

troutster,

Let's give you a quick answer, since nobody here actually answered your question.

htmlcorner.com sounds good, and easy to remember. However, html tutorial sites are many out there, not to mention the future XML, so, according my experience, I would say $300-$2000.

Again, just to remind you, it depends on buyer willing to pay and seller willing to sell, that simple, good luck.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply Nam. I appreciate it.

Ill ask here first, is anyone interested in acquiring any of the domains I have available? They are:

htmlcorner.com
perlcorner.com
ez-webdomains.com

Please let me know.

Yours,
Scott

I wouldnt mind buying perl one for about 20 bucks, but i doubt you'd take that

You can try posting them on eBay, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for a decent price. The domain name biz ain't what it used to be (was it ever really what it used to be?), and there's currently a bunch of worthwhile, unregistered dot-com domain names with "perl" and "html" in the title. If I were you and someone offered me $99 for one, I'd jump on it. Just my 2 cents.
