It seems that registering a .de domain requires a valid German address, but I am not in Germany and I want a .de domain, and I don't know anyone in Germany. What Can I do then? Any German here want to help me? Thanks.;)

I don't think anyone here will be able to help you. In any case, not me.

I once had a similar problem with UK address (for a different reason though). The solution is quite simple - search the web for a hotel and use it's address. It's not completely legit (well, completely non-legit, to be exact), but you can always say that you lived in that particular hotel at the time of ordering. Because what they need is the address, not proof that you are lawful resident of the state.

Good luck!.

No, I would not recommend using an address with which you have no connections. It's dishonest, and if Denic find out you've lost your domain.

If you have no connections whatsoever with Germany then what's the point in registering a .de domain? .de is a country code TLD, and while it is largely unrestricted the general intention is that it is there for people who live in Germany or who have business or other connections with Germany. It's not a pseudo-GTLD like .tv or .ws

Having said that, I've heard (but can't confirm) that there are registration companies out there somewhere that will let you use their address as an admin contact address, for a fee. This may be your best bet.

To have a valid German address you can always register a PO Box there and have the mails forwarded to your home address. It will cost you an annual fee to the German postal services, but it will do for a .DE domain.

An alternative is a .de.com domain from CentralNIC.

You can use EuroDNS to register .de domain name. As far as I know, they will use their Legal German Address and you won't have any problems regarding that.

I've see inwx.de accept US-based admin contact mailing addresses if you have them as a tech and zone contact. The prices are good too.

We are DENIC member and can help you. We will use your foreign address as a owner and you might use our address for the admin-c (with your name).

Concerning P.O Boxes:

According to german law, offical legal documents can only be sent to a real physical address (this means NO P.O Box). That is why in case the owner of a de domain is outside germany, the admin-c need to have a physical address in germany. (without p.o box). Denic doesnt test this while you register your domains. But in case of an dispute the denic member gets a mail from denic and is forced to change the admin-c contact within 14 days. So providing wrong data will help you until problems occur.
