What would happen if the place that I registered my domain name from went out of business?? Would I lose the domain name??

It depends on whether you are registering through a reseller or a registrar. If you are registered through a reseller, then the parent registrar would still own the domain, and I would assume you would have some sort of access to it via their own control panel. If you register directly through a registrar, and they went under, your domain would then be transfered back to the registry operator (netsol for .com, .net, or .org domains). You would then use their services to manage the domain.

just thought i'd point out that the chances of a icann accredited registrar going under are very minimal
