What would happen if the place that I registered my domain name from went out of business?? Would I lose the domain name??

If you are registered through a reseller, then the parent registrar would still own the domain, and I would assume you would have some sort of access to it via their own control panel. If you register directly through a registrar, and they went under, your domain would then be transfered back to the registry operator (netsol for .com, .net, or .org domains).
