I am looking for a Dedicated Solution with SCSI for under $150 a month. Any ideas? How much of a diff. is there between SCSI and IDE hard drvies...I am going to run a website with a low amount of traffic and 400 email accounts? Thanks

Probably the most significant difference between SCSI and IDE is SCSI is capable of multi-tasking. However, since IDE technology has been growing quite rapidly in the last few years, the throughput of IDE drive is fast enough to accomodate hosting. If you get IDE drive with 7200RPM and 100MB/s transfer rate, you will not notice much difference with SCSI.

If your need is for hosting, I believe IDE can be a more cost-effective alternative compared to SCSI.

What makes a SCSI drive capable of multi-tasking, and not an IDE drive? Does it have more heads?
