Heres a problem we cant figure out.

You can see the site, but when you click on the links on the left column, theres nothing, you get a blank screen. Seems like the PHP doesnt grab anything from the backend mysql database. But then again the mysql database is there intact.

We check the config files and everything looks ok.
Other sites on the same server which utilizes php ecommerce backend mysql all work fine except this site.

Does upgrading from php 4.04 to 4.1.2 have anything to do with it?


If anyone can help or suggest anything that would be sincerely appreciated.

Upgrading to php4.12 doesn't affect this at all. php4.12 just fixed a security hole in the php upload operation.


Btw, when i click on the left link, the page seem to load and with "Add to cart" and other buttons display.

Works fine for me. PHP upgrade wouldn't have anything to do with it. I clicked everywhere and viewed my basket etc and got the nice rosy background etc every time.

Try using CTRL + F5 to ensure you're getting a new page from the server, and not a cached version?

I got it fixed after 4 hours....... it was a client's file which got corrupt. Boy that was hard.....comparing every file from a backup....
