Shopping Cart what is better digishop or SunShop Shopping Cart ?

I use osCommerce for all the online shopping sites i do

osCommerce for shop...need Integration lots...

osCommerce has not been updated in over 2 years and if you want to do anything other than sell a few items then you have to wade through their swamp of junk contributions and hope you get one that works out of the box without fixing all the bugs in it.

You would be much better off with Zen Cart (http://www.zen-cart.com)

Zen Cart is updated frequently and has just about everything you need built in.

it has had mini updates for osCommerce in the last 2 year, Zen Cart is based on osCommerce so there basiy the same!

Great myth... but they are not even close to the same.

Zen Cart was built on osC and made light years better, it is not osC with a bunch of contribs like some of the other osC based carts. Zen Cart has had frequent official releases over the last 2 years with major features added and is still humming.

Hang on to your hat for v1.3 of Zen Cart...

I run Zen Cart and have around 100 options to choose from on a single product with lots of little pics on the options and it runs blazingly fast.

If you run on a misconfigured or overloaded server. yes it can be slow like anything else.

Have you tried running it on a good server or are you just going by what the FUD slingers say?

You should check out cubecart too. :)

Oscommerce is fast , flexible and can be configured for any purpose. I am using it to for all my client sides, It can act as a portal, shopping cart or customer management system. And also it is very easy to customize. So

We recommend Cubecart. It's simple to setup and easy to use.

CubeCart is much better than osCommerce. It is XHTML compliant I believe.

CubeCart is nice one, their code is separate from their templates, and hence you can be able to edit the appearance easily.

I am not quite sure which other shopping cart use OOP techniques other than digishop.

I would say Oscommerce is the best, as it has been used by many other carts and it has a very good base plus there are 100+ contribs available which are 100% compatible with Osc only.

Other shopping cart comes with 10s of preloaded contribs, but when you add any more contrib yourself its makes your life hell.

I am currently working on oscommerce for the past 3 months and successfully installed around 80-90 contribs which is making my version more robust, userfriendly and has lots n lots of features which are must for a shopping cart. So that i can put that on a sale :)

I love Cubecart and so do my customers. It is fairly easy to set up and with the support forum you can get loads of mods designed. Some of them are even free.

I just wish they would put the new updated Cubecart 3 on fantastico as I can figure out how to load that myself but not how to do it from scratch!

Will cube cart do multiple images easily and will it resize images? I'm trying to get Zen to do that with an add-on and its not working :(

The site this is for needs multiple images (3-5) for each product.

Cube Cart resizes the main image using the GD library and I played with it a bit and it looks acceptable. You can add more images and "[+] more images" shows up below the main one and a popup shows a column of thumbnails along the left side and it shows the large image in the main area to the left of that. Very nice.

I'm going to work with Zen a little more and if I can't get it to do what I want smoothly, I'll install Cube.

I installed Cube but my host has v2 and it doesn't seem to do what I need. I suppose I could attempt to install it myself. What a pain this has become...

I think Cube cart v2 is quite easy to install but if you need extra features you can go for Cubecart v3.

CubeCart is dirt simple to install. They just realease 3.0.4 yesterday and will be releasing 3.0.5 in about a week.

Sunshop is absolutely amazing

Yippeee, got Zen to work. The image add-on needed a newer version of ImageMagick than was installed on my server (don't know why GD didn't work). Om so hoppy!

where I can look demo admin panel CubeCart ....I cant find...I guess I will ask my money back that I buy digishop:( this my expensive then CubeCart but I think CubeCart have more then digishop...but I cant look inside:( demo admin....maybe somebody have...thanks you

CubeCart is free, download it and install it and you can looky at the admin all you want.

Ok whatever you say... I clicked the link that said download and installed in on my linux development machine and it didn't cost a dime.

You see the big button at the top of their website that says "Downloads"? :) Follow that.

Note that it is not open source code and you must run the cubecart copyright at the bottom of your pages.

You only need to pay for it if you want to remove that powered by cubecart and copyright.
