I would also hereby like to announce an official protest against webhostingtalk.com for depriving me of many hours of already wasteable time by forcing me to post or reply to threads posted by intelligent people who have never had their heads found by a proctologist; for daring to add me to their ICQ lists when it is perfectly clear that I only use ICQ to meet women and highly skilled donkeys (in either case, my ICQ # is 66604487); for snorting pop out of my nose on more than occasion laughing at etLux and consequently finding a unique way to remove all of my cilia and mucus; for causing me to think that social interaction consists of "loop until you're no longer really bored and want to talk to people for real, make statement, preview statement, submit statement, end loop"; and for causing strange nightmares where icon-sized smiley faces reproduce exponentially and take over the background of my mousepad...wait, no, that really happened. Or I'm having an acid flashback.

Anyway, I would like to hereby declare that I am on strike for at least the next three minutes while I go to the bathroom!

* walks around holding a picket sign that says "Webhostingtalk.com (insert phrase of your choice here)"

No no, Charles and Carlos :D It's not against the rules to ask for opinions on anything.

However, in the past (and older forum members will remember the ThinkHost fiasco) we've had hosts which have tried to sneakily advertise their company under the guise of 'surveys' and 'feedback', and it got particularly irritating. So surveys have been banned for the last few months.

That said, the mods are currently debating whether to open back up surveys and 'feedback' (as in Charles' case) in a limited, controlled environment. We should be decided by early next week and we'll open back up all survey threads if we decide to open it back up.
